Be the Change Blog Day!
04/16/2010
Today is the day to put my treats and toys where my mouth is! Wait. That's where they always are. I mean today is the day to actively try and help others.
Ever since my female came home from the BlogPaws event she has been talking about the larger goals of Grouchy Puppy (TM) and grouchypuppy.com. She mutters around the house our mantra to give fearlessly and influence positively. At times she gets giddy about how lucky she is finding me (which sometimes causes her to hug me too hard). She wants to help others have the same happy pack life that we have.
Today I am taking a knee and remembering just how lucky we are here. My pack is pretty special and clearly important to me. I could not imagine life without them. Therefore when my female heard the challenge to support Pets without Parents today, we gladly took up the mantle.
Here is a little about Pets without Parents -
"Our mission is to place every pet that enters our shelter into a loving, permanent home; and to motivate our local community to support our shelter, its no-kill mission, and spay-neuter efforts through donation, volunteer, and adoption opportunities...until every pet goes home."
Find out more about them on their website. www.petswithoutparents.net
I'm a grateful grrl because my female and pack leader act as clear, sometimes stern, parents to me. It would be sad if they weren't around. Also I would get into a lot of trouble because I am quite the Alpha type. Sorry former SF/SPCA roommate.
What can you do to #bethechange? Join me as I give fearlessly and try to influence positively.
If you like to tweet and want to attend the pawty, check out the Paw Pawty on April 21. 7:00pm-1:00am EST. Proceeds benefit Pets Without Parents who were nominated and selected at BlogPaws the 1st ever blogging conference for Pet Bloggers.
